GST in India from July 01,2017 should be noted in Indian history because many changes are being implemented by ruling BJP government. Your wallet without Aadhaar or your mobile without e-aadhaar would be very difficult from July 01,2017. Major think is GST which Goods and Service Tax will make huge change as all state taxes are removed and One Nation,One Tax system will be followed here after.

Hope GST would be understood where spoken more than 6 months by government and all news channels and websites. Below given many number of changes also will implement from July 01,2017 with certain last dates for each. Let’s see what are those from below.

Unable to file I-T return without Aadhaar :

Linking of Aadhaar with PAN card made mandatory :

PAN number should be linked with Aadhaar made mandatory to avoid an person having multiple PAN cards and evading tax. If not linked as per the Section 139AA of Income tax, PAN of that person will be made invalid.

No PAN card without Aadhaar :

Whom so ever applying for new PAN card after 30/06/2017 cannot be applied without Aadhaar.

No Passport without Aadhaar :

Applying for passport after 30/06/2017 should have Aadhaar as an one of the mandatory document to apply for new Passport

Update Aadhaar in PF account :

Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has made it compulsory to link PF account with Aadhaar by June 30. Pensioners are also asked to furnish Aadhaar details. According to EPFO, Aadhaar linking is expected to make the withdrawal and settlement process time much shorter, from existing 20 days to 10 days.

Concessions on Railway Tickets allowed only with Aadhaar :

To avoid the misuse of concession given to Senior citizens, Aadhaar is mandatory to update while booking tickets for Senior citizens, if not the concession is not allowed by Indian Railways.

Update Aadhaar for Scholarships given to School and College students :

HRD ministry ordered that school and college students, who want to get government scholarship or are already getting it, should provide Aadhaar details by June 30. After that, scholarships would not be given to any student who does not updated Aadhaar.

No PDS benefit without Aadhaar:

From long ago before 6 months Public Distribution System from each State Government announces to link Aadhaar with their Ration cards and they have changed their Ration cards into Smart cards in many states. Updated ration cards alone will get benefits from July 01,2017.

Unexpected Expat tax in Saudi Arabia from July 1:

Saudi Arabia is introducing a monthly expatriate levy tax on the dependents of expatriates from July 1. The fee will be 100 riyals (around Rs 1,721) per dependent this year. It will be doubled to 200 riyals per dependent from July next year, tripled to 300 riyals in 2019 and quadrupled to 400 riyals from July 2020.

New curriculum for CA:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch on July 1 a new syllabus for those studying to become chartered accountants. The new syllabus is in accordance with International education standards of the International Federation of Accountants and also includes new taxation system, the GST.

Online visitor visa for Indians flying to Australia:

The Australian government has announced that Indian visitors can apply for a visitor’s visa online starting July 1. The online visa facility is expected to fasten the approval process.
